Crawl Aquarium

Lighting is important if you want your plants to grow successfully. They need 12-14 hours of light each day, as in nature. Opinions differ about the amount of live plants and need light, but overall 3.5 watts per gallon works well. Compact fluorescent bulbs in 20, 50 Watt halogen bulbs as much to do work, so experiment with different types of lighting to see what works best for your plants.
Plants also need adequate nutrients to stay healthy and green. Everything works together in a well-planned aquarium, keeping the plants well fed is a difficult prospect. The nutrients that feed the plants of fish in the tank – You can add more if necessary. Fertilization is also easy to make, because the plants are naturally able to use fish waste as fertilizer. You can add a fertilizer business, when you change the water, but it is usually best to follow the "less is more" philosophy pay when their plants. Too much fertilizer can cause problems with algae growth in the tank, and you can always add more if needed.
What about water temperature? Most plants live in water temperatures between 72F and 78f. The pH of water is also important – a pH of 6.8 to 7.8 is ideal.
Snails are another natural element contributing to the overall health of the aquatic environment. Plants Snails own food and small algae, and crawling on the leaves and foliage. However, some snails can cause problems. Ramshorn, Pond, and other species eat the leaves instead of cleaning them, and can cause damage unwanted. Fortunately, it is fairly easy to remove the snails embarrassing. Simply place the lettuce leaves on top of the aquarium to attract snails – remove all with a network, when all snails were collected in lettuce leaves.
Before putting new plants in your aquarium rinse well with warm water to remove insects not want to invade the aquarium. Healthy plants have strong roots and strong leaves, if that's what you should look for when buying plants. Avoid plants that emit an odor weird, especially bulbs, because it is an indication that the plant is not healthy and can not grow properly once placed in your tank.
The plants young people in general better fit for transplant, so please bear in mind as well. Although the plants you need to buy a period of time to adjust, and may lose some leaves, do not panic. This is quite normal. To encourage healthy new growth, only remove dead leaves as they appear, taking care not to damage roots.
Aquatic plants are a great addition to any aquarium and help maintain healthy fish comfortable and happy.
